- This video, fa’aSamoa is a palagi’s attempt to share “The Samoan Way.” Terry and I got to spend a year on island in 1999-2000. This video is dedicated to the incredibly gracious and generous people of American Samoa. I owe much thanks to Eileen Shinner George, Lynn Marshall Ashley, and Jim Civale for correcting spellings, and things I just misunderstood about Samoa. Terry Lynn and I love the place and the people, but there is so much we still don’t understand. The music is by Upu Moni.
